Thank you again Lebus,
That is the second pic that I have found that is in my collection of photo's.
The other is this aerial of ground troop's .
There is one in the book my son just gave me."Fighter Aircraft of WW1 and WW2"
The pic in the book looks like a old copy as the image is not as sharp and is cropped.
In the book it say's that they are French troops in the Somme in 1916.
I'll show the scan I did of the page in that book of this photo. It's on my home pc and I'm at work now.
Maybe these photo's are not so unique.

Here is a scan of the page from the book I mentioned above.
It says on the inside cover that the material first appeared in Purnell's Histories of the World Wars in 1966/72 BPC publishing Limited and Purnell's Histories of the World War's 74/75.

I'll try and get more photo's scanned tonight

Now along with these photo's was this envelope.
Now in the first photo I posted on this thread ,this Gent is a listed as a lieutenant.
Why the difference in rank, I do not know. What I found of interest was the different locations this letter went to till it was returned to sender.
This is the front and back of the envelope.
I'm going to let this sit in this section for a week and then I'll ask the Mod's if they could move it in the WW1 section where it should have been posted.

Just a heads up, I have asked that this thread be moved to the proper WW1 section.
