Hereís a Salute the Soldier poster Iíve just picked up and itís a pity I donít have a wall to hang it on so itíll have to stay up in the attic for the time being.

Salute the Soldier was, as far as Iíve found out, a nationwide event to raise money for the war effort during the first half of 1944, many events took place all over Britain, here are some details of just one of them Salute the Soldier where the Home Guard organised events such as a baby show and the Ladies Ankle Competition.

Quite a few posters must have been produced and probably many individual programmes from the participating districts around the UK so it's not rare, but I like it.
