    Nice Signal Corps photo. Reverse states: TANKS AND INFANTRY ADVANCE ON ROAD BEYOND LONLAY L'ABBAYE, FRANCE. 2ND AMD DIV AND 30TH INF DIV.

    The town name and units have been censored with blue pencil. Note the sniper bait standing on the jeep and the guy crouched down behind the tank- "Hey Lieutenant, stand up there for a minute and see if you can see any Jerries".

    He was Scotish and they look Italian....maybe that had something to do with it, maybe not, lol. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us to ask.

    Here are a few pictures I just got at an antique store they are my first US ones, somehow German pictures are easier to find where I live?...
    No writing on the back unfortunatley, they appear to be in the ETO

    Heres a picture of a friend of mine who has just passed away aged 86.
    Donald Patch USN
    LST Sailor.
    He is the one sitting,i believe this was taken in 1944 at Navy Supply Depot 717,Gilli Gilli.Milne Bay
    If anyone can shed any light on his records i would be grateful.
