Some photos of my Grandfather Joe Dunphy. Served from 1941 to 1945 and saw action in Sicily, Italy, France, Holland, and Germany.
These photos are from 1941 before he went overseas. Unfortunately no photos from his service overseas survived him and my Grandmother getting divorced after the war. She threw them all out
A lot of his personal kit did survive and now resides in my collection.
Dont know anything about it,but i just reckon its a great shot.
Guys great photos.
Ok guys just scanned a few of my dad's pictures in, he joined up 4/4/44 into the Grenadier Guards ,went into the Guards Armoured Division...I've only scanned a few in,there are loads more but i picked a few vehicular ones...
Love this thread! I was sure that there was one like this out there and I'm glad I found it. I just got this in the mail. There is no glow and I'm sure it's WW2. I like the fact that he wrote to his wife on the back. Wish I had more info on it. Could be at the Bulge for all I know. PS-Love the pics you guys have posted!
