I was thinking that a manual entitled dirty fighting seems very uniquely American.
Very interesting to see the US publication which seems to have some similarities to Fairbairn's legendary 'All-In Fighting' published in 1942. The 'victims' in Fairbairn's book seem to be mainly ordinary German soldiers although an officer makes a brief appearance on p. 105...
Collaboration wouldn't surprise me at all.
