The research I've done has led me to believe that this notebook is some sort of training syllabus for the U.S. Navy's elementary flying training program, from very early in the war. It came from the estate of a gentleman who'd been a Navy flying instructor all through the war, who passed away recently. I've never seen anything quite like it, and am not sure if it's something that all instructors had, or a quick reference guide he made up for himself. Hopefully somebody can shed more light on the subject.

As you'll see, the pages are typewritten, and collected together in a loose leaf binder. It also contains calendars for 1941 and 1942:
