1948 Soviet controlled Manchuria permit

As one who has been reading and collecting all Manchurian material possible, this one here, though post-war 1948, is a must in that part of the world and history. Also, for anyone who is a keen passport and passport/travel related material collector, this movement-pass/permit is an exceptional unique item:

issued by the Soviets in the joint Sino-Soviet controlled area of Guandong (Dalian/Port-Arthur). One clearly can see the Chinese & Russian applied stamps, back is in Russian while the scan here shows the Chinese texted side.


This zone was controlled by the Soviets, they controlled security and finance maters of this zone, from August 1945 to May 1950.
