    Photograph nr A etc , published 22 august 1941 Schr(?) PBZ= Presse Bild Zentrale = Press Photo Agency.
    A picture after the big battle (Kesselschlacht= battle in which enemy is surrounded. Kessel=kettle or cauldron) in southern Ukraine.
    Rifle and cap hung in a tree, so awaits a Bolshewik capture.
    FZ(?)

    PK= Propaganda Kompanie (=embedded press)-Otto (?)- Press Photo Agency
    "FR(?) OKW= Ober Kommando der Wehrmacht= General staff of the armed forces".

    Reverse:
    Press Photo Agency
    Braemer & Gull
    members of the state organisation of the German Press
    Adress telephone etc.
