I think I understand the meaning of the top 1st boxed-stamp...the citizen must register at the NKVD at Tarnopol...would the 2nd bottom stamp indicate him crossing into the Soviet side of Poland in 1940?
Thanks.
Somthing like an entry visa into the eastern side of occupied Poland in 1940?
I was told this could have been the 'crossing the border' stamp between east and western Poland in 1940, citizen exchange maybe??
Bottom stamp is hardly wiped off. I can read only first word "ENTRY..." and two words in the 4th line "member of government...". So it is probably some kind of visa.
Thanks.
I added a new san, maybe it is more clearer? about the top scan, can you see what place of the NKVD?
Hi Dima,
Added now better scans, hope they are OK...
Thanks,
Neil
