Some Years ago I have bought a big photo album from a NKVD Officer who started his career in the 28th division Of the VOGPU , became politruk in the internal troops of the NKVD and served in the RKKA during GPW. His name was Alexander Vyachkileva. What makes this album very interesting is that this officer wasn't officer during the great patriotic war. Probably victim of Stalin's purges.
The first pictures show this officer during 30's.
But during the WW2 He wasn't officer aymore. Several pictures show him in private M35 uniform in 1941, or sergent M35/43 uniform...
It is a classic story for a societ hero. Remember Rokosovski.

This picture is light colorized. You can see the collar of the internal troops of NKVD: red brick with gold piping..

There are mary many pictures in this album: training, medical inspection, Military haircut, parade, ski, dogs, politruk duty, summer camp, tactical training...
My theory of "Stalin's purges" is
On the reverse side of a picture I read the following words :
"На память своему воспитаннику политруку тов. Вячкилеву А. А. от Пахомова Леонида Петровича. 2. XII. 1939 г."
That's mean that Alexander was still politruk in the end of 1939...

One of the last pictures of the wartime period give us a last information: "на память Асе с дочками Людмиле и Гале от Александра. Алкино

I will try to find more informations about these regiments (366th rifle and 27th rifle , based in Alkino).

Formé le 27/12/1941, dans l'ordre GKO le 18/12/1941, Dans la région de Sverdlovsk Kamyshlov principalement évacués des membres de l'est de l'Estonie et des soldats du Corps d'infanterie territoriale estonienne 22 (en mai 1942, dans la division était 88,8% des Estoniens et 9,9% du Russe, d'autres - Suédois, Juifs et représentants d'autres Nationalités [1]).
Dans l'armée du 11.7.1942 le 05/09/1945.
Après avoir prêté le serment le 14 mars 1942, la division a été envoyée à Moscou pour étudier et est arrivée au front à la fin de 1942. Participation à la libération du Grand Arc, Nevel, Narva, Tartu a participé à la "Tallinn offensante, la La libération de l'île de Saaremaa et l'élimination de l'ennemi regroupant la Courlande. Les actions de cette division particulière finiront par être libérées en Estonie (combats sur la péninsule de Sõrve).
Le 28 juin 1945 est transformé en 118ème division d'infanterie des gardes (118 ss).

Philippe, I think, the information you posted is about NORMAL 366 and 27 Rifle Regiments.
But here we have two RESERVE (запасной) Rifle Regiments.
These were regiments for training of new recruits and other purposes.
27th Reserve Rifle Regiment was indeed located in ALKINO, Bashkiria whole period of Patriotic war.

That means A Вячкилева was in this reserve regiment in Alkino before his departure to the front line. But we don't know in which regiment he was assigned.
something looks strange : one of the last picture shows this guy with a M35/41 uniform, shoulder boards of sergeant , several wound stripes but no Medal! I would have thought that with several wounds and a promotion to sergeant's rank he would have obtained a medal of merit or bravery
The photo on the right is dated 1942 with mention of 366th and 27th reserve régiments in Alkino. A Вячкилева is just a soldier.
The photo on the left was probably takes later. You see wound stripes.
This guy was politruk in internal troops of NKVD just 2 years before!!!!
