"For long and good memory from acquaintance Alexander Semenovich.

For acquaintance Luda, this was given during the days of the Patriotic War.

    12.8.45r

    Alexander"
    - (signature).

How about showing a scan of the obverse so we all can see?

    Thanks for your help

What does "For acquaintance Luda" mean, I do not know this word Luda
Is it maybe a name ...?

Luda is short name for woman Ludmilla...

I used the word acquaintance as it was a direct translation. Not a friend or lover, just a simple acquaintance....

Here is the other side of the pic, Ade you have seen it already thats correct. Stunning is that you can remember hehehe

The guy in this pic tried to "liberate" my grandmothers radio. She said no
he cant have the radio (was a brave answer, could end up getting killed)
But Alexander tourned out to be a good guy. He studied in germany and could speak a bit german, he promised to bring back the radio when he has to leave, and he really did. Maybe there was some friendship between them, i dont know for sure.

    And here is Alexander ...

As I can see he has a black piping on the shoulderstraps, and most probably communication.
    Very interesting story!

The name of my grandmother was Alosia and not Ludmilla, but that was
the story she told me when she handed over me the picture and the
all awards and papers from my grandfather

There are more interesting storys, but when i am telling you, the front of the
    patriotic war will overcome me
