Hi Brian, not seen one before, but I have no problem in believing it was WW2 period made, possibly in North Africa or the Middle East at a guess?

Actually difficult to put a date on this. It has an aged patina, it could be a "theatre made" knife by a soldier with access to suitable tools, or privately commissioned by a soldier wanting a "knife like my mate's". But it could also have been made post war by a bloke in his back shed or an engineering apprentice.
