Hi Edelweiss,, the information that i can gather is that this company has been around since the late 1800s. Mostly producing pocket knives and Straight razors. There are some examples such as the pen knife shown below to be made in post war Germany,, as you can see in one of the photos were the word Germany is visible. As far as collectibility it would depend if there was a market for them..but IMO a good quality product from an Old producer. I do not think there was any war affiliation that I know of. Regards Larry

I've got a similar one that my Grandad brought back from France in 1945, but with no maker's name on it. I've always figured it was a fighting knife.

It's a spearpoint bowie type knife popular in the late 19th-early 20th century with a bone handle. The 'Manhattan Cutlery Co.' was a trademark of Boker of Solingen from 1868-1919. Not to be confused with the 'Manhattan Cutlery Co. Sheffield.' who were a British company owned by J.M. Watts around the same time, although they may have been importers/agents for Boker I guess as the coincidence seems logical?

I think you'll find this is a very desireable knife with collectors,
and would bring a good price if you were to resell it.........
