If the French legion use a French made knife the stainless blade would be marked "INOX" , Germany uses the word "Rostfrei" meaning stainless .

Saying that Germany make stainless Rostfrei blades for a lot of nations/countries and private firms .
I have not seen the design before on any military pocket knives ,

A lot of militaries across the world use swiss knives, but they also use the french word 'inox', the most exported army knife actually is named after the founders mother Victoria and Inoxidable. you get Victorinox. the swiss army gets half its pocket knives from Victorinox, and the other half from Wenger.

the knife you have doesn't look like a military folder. its just green.
