Handmade Knife??

Article about: I bought this knife years ago at a garage sale. I figured it was probably made from some sort of saw blade but who knows. I'd appreciate any opinions Thanks Newton

    Hi Newton, it looks like a homemade or trench art knife. I like it. It looks like a typical one made by a US serviceman. The grip made like that was a popular style.

    It's similar to the "jet pilot" survival knives in blade shape and saw teeth.

    I think it started life as a 30's or 40's era knife then someone broke the blade and replaced it. Money was tight in the depression & not many knives are around from that era. Nice find.
