Help with an Axe

Good day to you all,

I purchased that axe at a gun show several years ago. At the time I hoped it to be a boarding axe, but I now think that unlikely. My best guess is it is a firefighter’s axe. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Ed,
the blade and spike is in the shape of a war axe from medieval days, there was a Brooks Bros, in Sheffield
that had an Axe trade mark like this, so may be a good find.
