I picked up this bayonet at a hangar sale for a decent price a few months ago. Is there any info about this bayonet that can be gleaned through these pictures?:

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but it looks like a reproduction to me. The blade stampings don't look right. Here are some good sites for M1 info.

Yes, agreed..its a reproduction.The stampings on the blade and the scabbard throat are very poor.Sorry.

It's all good. It's good to know what it really is so that i don't unwittingly deceive someone if I ever decide to sell it off one day. I didn't pay an awful lot for it (about what you would pay for a good repro) so it can just be a nice display piece :)
