Me and the kid don't know a thing about military knives and machetes but when we ran across this one for 15 bucks! We figured worst case, we have something we can do yard work with. A little research later and it turns out we now have our first Machete in my sons growing collection. Looks to be a WWII US Army 18 inch machete made in Sheffield England. I found a few on the net, looks to be fairly common and it looks like the sheith is correct for the machete, which is nice. It is dated 1945. Black composite handle with an overall length of 23 inches. Someone was not real nice to the blade but again 15 bucks, we're not complaining.
