    Hi folks,
My neighbour came in with this sword.
He got it from an old man who died. While cleaning out the house they founs this sword.
The old man had been in the Belgian army and was also a contractor in Zaire (congo)
The blade is 84 cm long
the complete sword is 97cm long (without the sheet)
I can't find any markings or serials. It looks old
The sheet has a leather cover but is desintegrating.

so, my question is: What is it?
    What is the value?

    thanks!
    paco

The same pattern was also used by the Belgians - with the same designation - Model 1882 Infantry Officer Sword.
