The PA has a diamond shape between the B. And it is above the VLS mark
To start the ball rolling .... I'd go for B being Battalion, and the VLS being Volunteers ...
Interesting that its been cut down...I've seen that done on Bayonets issued to Indian troops
Second look at marks. They may be "P" than an arrow symbol then diamond symbol and "B". VLS. 194.

Also has a matching shortened scabbard
Don't know who shortened this bayonet but it has the black paint coating that they used in WW 2 so it was probably shortened in the 40's
Anyone have an idea. P B. VLS
Don't know how I missed it but bayonet is Canadian arsenal marked. Really faint mark on butt opposite regimental msrks
