    G'Day All,

Here's a scary repro I obtained yesterday. I have it compered to my M42. Once aged, it could be a little tricky to pick!

Pointers to note on identifying this repro to a genuine one
    - flick the grip with your finger and it should not have a hollow sound

-spring catch tension should be firm

I'm not a pro on US bayonets but thought I'd post this for reference

    Yes thanks, Rene.

I think another indicator is that they have been sharpened.
The scabbard is also too 'green' in colour.

You are correct, in that with some aging techniques,
it would be hard to tell the difference !
    Regards,

    Steve.

Glad I already have the original set.It is getting harder for some new guy to get into collecting ,they really need to learn their stuffs.I have been collecting for 30years and still learning.

    G'day Steve,
You're right about the sharpening as it is very sharp, the wife wants it to cut up Biltong
