Sanderson 1907 quil hook, need help

Article about: bought this , guy said that it came from the place that made tham arelitive took it , way back, been in a drawer, all this time , no markings to pomle, or cross gard the crown looks to have

    bought this , guy said that it came from the place that made tham arelitive took it , way back, been in a drawer, all this time , no markings to pomle, or cross gard
    the crown looks to have been removed?? blade is sharp . slit pitting same as handle, screws has rust , , on scrach marks on blade so n scaberd as ever been on this,, so maks sence that it was taken , from the work place, never used, .thoughts please ,,

    will need help whith phots thanks

    I don't like it, sorry. British bayonets have to have a crown & the year of manufacture. I also don't like the quillion. Here is one compare it

    thanks, but the other reply was,good, info.
    It seems that the crown and other marks ,was removed,
    this was done for export, , but did not go, out of uk,
    and , in this case the marks would have been re put .back on
    by the buyer of the bayonets, sanderson exported bayonets,this is why the crown is missing, but youcan just very faint ,the bottom line of the crown,
    and as i said this was in a drawer, not been used, so that would explane the condition of it, not heavy pitting, as most are .

    thank you yes same marks , it was ment for export thats why the mark ware removed,

    I newer heard of removing marks in UK for export. It's up to you really, but the question is: why the year of manufacture has been removed ? I'm just suspicious cos have seen faked hooked ones. Nowadays the prises for 07/13 is £70 maximum, while prices for hooked 07 can go up to £400.
