Hello all! I have here a USN Mark 1 knife. I got this knife from my great uncle, who found it on a boat in Vietnam. Sadly, my father wanted to help me by trying to clean it a bit. I luckily stopped him before he could do too much. Don't know if it's worth anything now, but I thought you all would still like it. Opinions are welcome!

Gassie its always nice to have something from a family member . Your knife has had some modifications or looks to have been re shaped. The knife is a WWII knife how it got to Vietnam who knows . Thanks for showing. Gary

Thanks Gary. Yea, my father was starting to sharpen it when I told him how it was destroying it. My uncle found it on a boat in Vietnam, so who knows how it got on there.

Indeed, looks like about 3/16ths of blade has been removed - possibly from
previous frequent sharpenings. The 'PAL' is the most common MK1,
and can often be found in mint or near mint condition.

$100-$125 is average, but in this condition slightly less.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

Thanks walk. Glad to know what it might be worth, just in case I ever sell it (which I won't)
