USN Mk2 Knife Value

Article about: Hello, At a pawn shop yesterday I saw a WWII USN Mk2 knife they had for \\$100 and wondered if that is worth it. I was being dumb and didn't take pictures of it, but it was well used although

    I don't believe KA-BAR made a Mk 2, that would have been Camillus.

    I believe leather was for USMC and the fiber, US Navy.

    There were millions of Mark 2's made and knives of
    this type are known as a 'Ka-Bar' regardless
    of the maker.........

    One of mine is marked Kabar on on side of the cross guard
    and USN MK2 on the other.

    After a while I ended up getting the knife and if anyone is interested I'll post pictures of it.

    "Been there" condition, but it's a rather nice knife !

    I've seen prices for these MK2 knives in all forms
    increasing - all military cutlery, in fact - even
    models from the 70's and '80's.........
