Bingo, found these here in the UK, Epic militaria described as WW2 M8 original scabbard.

You must make sure they do not have the chape at the bottom
    and are not M8A1's.........

Some nice knives. This thread has made me open "that" draw I have my US knives stored in. It's been a while as I forgot what I had....

I now remember that I have an:

    - Imperial M3 with M8 scabbard
    - Navy Mark 1,
    - M4,
    - M5a1
    - M6
    - m1917
    - M1918
    - M1905
    - M1905e1 cut down
    - ...as well as a Model 1904 and 1908 Bolo.

The M5a1 has an ww2 M8 scabbard. If I remember correctly I picked up the knife from one pile and the scabbard from another and paid for it (those were the days)

Now I have to pull them all out to take photos!

Ok guys! didn't mean to take over the thread. J was just a great reminder of a lot of what I got when I was a kid.

Am preparing for father's day tomorrow and it's raining but will try to find time to snap some quick photos

OK...not artistic and they are not all minty...but here they are. All together and broken out in groups.

Just noticed the M4 has and M8A1 scabbard. Maybe I'll swap it out with the M5a1 that has an M8 scabbard....but that is how it came...so maybe will leave it.
