No need for a “general” opinion. I can provide an exact opinion, it is a reproduction and frankly, not even one of the better reproductions available on the market. There are several things wrong with it, but for sake of simplicity look at the thumb imprint (the egg shaped thingie with ridges on the ricasso) and compare it with this one here V-42 Showcase..... - EDGED WEAPONS - U.S. Militaria Forum It is not even trademarked with the “Case” company’s logo beneath it either, even the poorest of reproductions usually add that.

It is not a “rare” unmarked “OSS” prototype or some such nonsense either. Pass on this example, unless it is being given away gratis as a letter opener.
