    hey first off i am new to this forum so lets see how it goes. i got this from my grandpa a while back after he passed away.....and i have no info on it...is it really old? is it just a replica? is it worth anything? ect?

    Hi and welcome to the forum!

    It is not a WW2 military issue sword to the best of my knowledge.

    I would say it is a decorative item made in the Middle or Far East as a wall hanger?

    Hard to tell from the photos, but maybe the blade was reworked
    with homemade grips and guard, or it is as Ade
    says - a wall hanger..........
