Default BN-T5 gasmask with odd bag.

I am posting photos of a gas mask I obtained some years ago.

It is a model BN-T5 that unfortunately came without filter. The odd element is the bag, which is totally different to what I have seen. Maybe it is not a soviet bag (or even a gas mask bag at all), so maybe you folks can help me identify it.

    Thanks for your reply, Dimas.

Do you know the aproximate price for the mask without respirator?

I am actually looking a wartime gas mask bag, but I donīt care if It is empty. I was thinking about exchanging the mask for a bag , though I donīt know if it would be an even transaction. Maybe someone has one extra one to swap.

    Regards,

    Gus

If you want I can trade it against your mask, I have a couple of nice bags, but really the bag is a cheaper than your mask

I really appreciate your honesty, Dimas.

I will (also) honestly tell you that I have always thought that it would be hard for me to obtain the correct filter for the mask plus the correct bag (and it would not be cheap). As my idea is to have a complete recreation of a GPW soviet soldier, I prefer (just like a frontovik would) the bag to the mask.

The model of bag I had in mind is one like this one:

If you can get me a wartime dated specimen, I have no problem at all in exchanging my mask for it.

    Regards,

    Gus

This is a pre-war early war bag, and I have not a bag for BN-Tch gasmask.
I have the bag and filter for your gasmask if you wish to make a complete and nice set, which is more rare than BN-Tch
I just have some of the bags for the BN gasmask with mask Schm-1 ( from 1941 year)
But if you want to complete your mask with filter and bag- I can help you
This is the bags I have:

Thank you very much for your offer, Dimas. I am tempted, but the total amount for completing the mask would not be cheap (just the bag costs 80 euros). I am not an enthusiast of gas masks, but as I said in my previous post, I would like the bag, as it was used as a mussette bag by the soviet soldiers, specifically the model for the BN-Tch mask, which was apparently one of the most popular or widely available (that bag is as iconic for me as the telogreika).

Anyway, I am not in a hurry. I can wait. If you happen to get one, just let me know and we can always make the exchange. In the meantime, and for the sake of placing the post where it belongs, I will open a new thread in the "URSS items wanted" section.

Thanks again Dimas, you are truly a nice guy.

    Regards,

    Gus
