SN42 Body armour

Hi Peirre, this armour was not general issue and was used mainly by Combat Engineers.

I have several period photos of it in use.

Hello ADE, I found your comment on the forum and it is the first time when I see a so complete SN42. Here are the photos of a restored model. I was interested in the amoeba which was with but not really by this body armor. Think you that it is possible to restore it? Is it possible to find the belts of origin? If it countered difficult which is the value of a SN 42 in this state? Thank you for your answer.

Hi Jean-Sebastien, the straps will be almost impossible to find. They are thin canvas straps, similar to those used on the gas mask bag. I would not restore it as it is nice as it is.

I work with a guy who already has done all the work you are talking about.

Here is an example of his armor. I also have one of his SN-42 sets, and will gladly take, and post any additional pictures you may request.
