Was this fighting knife legit?

Article about: Was this ZIK fighting knife that sold on Ebay for a nice sum legit? Annoyed from this ads?

Based on this I'll skip his or her offerings....I've been unable to find legit ZIK markings similar to what they sold.

    A wise move I think.

I found these knives to be very bothersome as well. The markings are inconstant and much nicer than on most wartime examples such as those Philippe shares. There is also something about the blade finish that bothers me and the proportions of the scabbard seem inconsistent as well. I think these to be dangerously nice reproductions. Certainly better than the ones we had made while I was involved with OstFront Militaria years ago. It is a bit scary to me because these knives are coming from Poland. It was from Polish military stocks that many of the good knives in the Western market originated from in the late 1990's and early 2000's. So in the past, a knife coming from Poland was considered a good thing in my eyes. Seems things have changed.

Note the markings for comparison. Grandfather's NR-40.
