Gas Mask Carrier

This item is on its way to me currently from Austria. An early, two pocket gas mask carrier with American style "Lift the Dot" fasteners on the corners of the front flap. I am anxious to get this one in hand. While I have seen a couple of wartime photos showing this type of closure, I have never seen a physical example. As result, I am uncertain if these are Russian made fasteners or WW1 surplus US made fasteners from the Czar's army. These bag is prewar so it cannot be WWII Lend-Lease. More to come...

Hi Mike, that looks nice.

I remember seeing one of these for the first time and being suprised to see a Lift the dot fastener on a Soviet item.

A mate of mine has one which belonged to a family member from the Ukraine. Sadly he is not online and I don't have any pics.
