Hello Kass,
Thansk a lot for your message and confirmation. I was surprised by the D ring of the last pouch. Is this something comon or linked to a specific period of time?
In advance thank you
Bruno

I beleive the "D"ring first showed up with the "czarist type" box pouch around 1935-36. On the Model 1937 pouch, I have seen both type of ring which would have stopped production in 1941 when they went ot the simpified ammo pouch made out of leather, synthetic canvas (Kirza) and cloth. Here are a couple of examples of the simplified ammo pouch produced from 1941 on. Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
My god... That pouch looks horrid to use.
It looks as if it would fall apart instantly.

Very interesting piece Bruno!
The marking says "Nicht für Feldheer”: not to be used by the field army. So apparantly a pouch that was captured by the Germans, and probably used by auxiliary units like guards etc. Very interesting and I have not seen such markings before.
