Click on the picturer and enlarge it. Top right fellow looks to be Canvas cover and bottom left fellow looks like old cloth cover. What do ya think. Joe

Hi Joe, certainly an interesting photo. Thanks for sharing it. I just don't know if these were an issue item or improvised?

Not the same I know, but the Maxim M1910 MG had a cloth action cover and that is seldom seen in pics. So I am thinking if they made one for the MG, why not the PTRD or indeed PTRS?

Hi Ade - Hi Joe.
That is one great photo. I have a Maxim breech cover - I got mine from Ryton Arms - well known to you Ade. Joe this firm is in UK - they have a good website and still have said covers. It's pretty crude. I'll get my son (who is massively more efficient than I on line to put up a pic. I have never heard of an issue item for PTRD/S and given the relative few of these in private hands it's p[robably not worth anyone importing or repo'ing them. We shall have to plumb the depths and see if we can come up with a pattern - It can't be hard to make.

Hi Macksim, I have a Maxim breech cover from Tony as well

If we can find a pattern for an anti tank rifle cover I am sure we could make some with ease. If such a thing existed for the PTRS I know I would want one.
