Russian Artillery Mittens??

can anyone ID these 1943 dated mittens? The seller is unsure but thinks the staining indicates handling of hot artillery casings.

I think that is a stretch on the part of the seller.... just because they are dirty on the palm? I have several sets of artillery gloves if that is the criteria

And some socks, boxer shorts.....

I got the photos, they aren't Russian by the stamp, perhaps that arrow is British as I've seen on leather cases?
