Hi,

I did some digging and it's a Soviet regenerative canister for a gas mask. It generates oxygen and reduces carbon dioxide from the air that you exhale.

Thanks for the info...this one looks unissued with a seal still attached.
The seller has no clue what it is and selling it real cheap...
