    Hi Guys -

    Can anyone confirm that this is really a WW2 Russian "long handle" shovel - used by artillery crews, jeeps, tanks, etc.? According to the seller, even the handle is original. It's not really expensive, so I don't think he's trying to rip off anybody, however I "googled" to find a shovel like this, but no luck...

    It seems that yes, it is a БСЛ-110 ( Большая сапёрная лопата длиной 110 см ) .

    Thanks for the proper name for this - I did look at some Russian websites...
    This one, on the photos looks a bit odd... As if it's missing 10-20cm of the bottom part (?)
    Unless it was meant to be this "square-looking"...

    Yes looks wartime and someone has cut the bottom part off the shovel
