Soviet cavalry Buckle?

Hi,

Do you have any information on this buckle.
It was found by a friend a few weeks ago, during excavations in the suburbs of Berlin.
The buckle has the same dimensions as buckle M.35.

I think thats a shoulder belt plate rather than a buckle

That is Mongol buckle if I'am right remember. That kind of belts was a very fashionable by soviets after Hasan and Halkhin Gol.

1)made in USSR buckle for Mongolian officers
2) Cavalry school of OSOAVIAHIM

I believed it to be a Shoulder belt plate (buckle) as it is same size and layout as my granfathers Gloster regiment plate.

Dimas: whats a Mongol buckle? Do you mean Mongolian buckle? Or something else. Cheers.

I have seen these before also and lean towards Dim's #2 possibility.

I know that some of the other Mongolian buckles are exits. But some tongues tell that they saw Zhulkov in Mongolia being worn this buckle
