In the 1931/1932 has been developed and a "small" canteen for the Red Army, 0.75 liter capacity, with screw cap, which release only began in 1937. It was supposed to produce the canteen in aluminum, tin, and brass body. In the production of ready-made canteens were divided into the 1st and 2nd grade, depending upon the quality. Since 1940, canteens began to be painted in green color.
