    I was able to find some pics of these on the other forum but no additional information about them:- please note green paint on steel parts:

    Drawing from period which clearly shows details of imperial pattern, as far I know Imperial Russian M10 pattern :

    I suspect that the initial post is of a German/Western European carrier, not a Soviet, as it looks just like the German one I have in my collection.

    Now, it is possible, that a Soviet soldat picked up a damaged German carrier, and had his leather repair guy make the repairs, which put the Soviet style green buckle on the item, but this is pure speculation.
