WWII Entrenching Tool Paint

Tried finding the answer via search as I was sure this had been discussed previously but had no luck. What are the common colors of paint found on WWII Red Army entrenching tools? Thanks

From the scores that I have handled, I would say most are blued steel, or black painted. I have seen the occasional light olive green example as well, but most all of those have appeared to be repaints while in postwar military stocks.

Thanks for the information. I have had one for about 30 years, has traces of black paint and was not sure if that was the original color or not. It is dated 1940r.
