Need Help! M1936 Field bag

Hi!
I was just on a 3 day trip to Chicago, and I could'nt resist buying a new (old) Musette bag
I bought it because it looked very interesting, and I got it very cheap. Theres a lot of history to it, thats for sure, but I'm trying to find out exactly what it is! First of all i checked the bag, in all of it's pockets, after I got back to the Hotel, and I found something in the bag. One medal ribbon bar, with 3 medal ribbons on it. And a piece of old paper from 1958 from a "Wholesale Electrical Supplies" And finally something that you use for golf, the thing you stick in the ground for the ball to rest on.

On to the bag: There are stains on the back, which I suspect is blood, because of the pattern of the spreading, and the dark red color. But I could be wrong. There is also a name inside the bag, and a serial number, but it's very faint. The name is "USHER" and the serial number is (im guessing on some of the numbers) "H 3101099".

Apart from the mystery, I think it's a very nice bag, and it is in good solid condition with only 1 tear, just the way I like it! You can also see the brass shine through on some of the buckles. The 2 buckles on the front are marked: RAU FASTENER CO. ... PROV. A.I

Any opinions and answers are very welcome!

Pretty nice bag. I believe the staining is just that - wood stain or paint.
Blood would have turned almost black by now.

The ribbon bar indicates a WWII American soldier who did not go
overseas. The golf thing is called a 'tee', and the bill is for TV or
radio tubes (valves) and standard 'Buss' brand fuses.

About 10 years ago, I had the luck of finding a mint
musette bag in a thrift store for $1.00.........!

Thanks for the reply! I have no idea wether the medal ribbon is original to the bag or not, but the bag looks as if it might have been used in combat, so maybe not. Thanks for the info on the bill, I had no idea what it was. I'm guessing somebody used this as an "everyday" backpack after WW2. Now it is in good hands though WOW thats an amazing find! I wish I had the interest at that time, but then again, I was only 6 years old, 10 years ago haha!

A lot of this kind of stuff saw plenty of post-war civilian use. This is why so much German equipment is harder to find today.

It has definitely seen a lot of service. Their size makes them handy
for all sorts of uses long after WWII.

( I have another one - I'm sure it's a repro - which I use
as a fishing tackle bag for storing bait trays ! )
