Article about: One of my co-workers lent me these handcuffs stating that his grandfather used them in WWI, but I believe that they are a bit older than that, and are second model tower bottom key handcuffs

    One of my co-workers lent me these handcuffs stating that his grandfather used them in WWI, but I believe that they are a bit older than that, and are second model tower bottom key handcuffs so they would date to the 1890s?
    Would the US army have used these in WWI?

    Is there any markings I have never seen a pair of ww1 us issue handcuffs that is not to say they do not exist, also it might be possible that they were privately produced not military contract before the war
