    It looks genuine to me too, but I've just seen a lot of identical BUTLER razors without the military markings and just wanted to be sure they weren't added recently or anything...

    The earliest I have seen in 1943 for the issue safety razors with the broad arrow marks...

    I will see if I can find my late grandfathers records at some point over the next few days and check what he was issued when he joined up in 1939. I'm fairly sure that he was issued a safety razor and NOT a cut-throat. That's not to say that cut-throats weren't still issued.......QM's and all that!
