    ive got this water bottle with a leather harness. the maker of the harness is M.H & Co 1942. i would like to ask if any would be able to tell witch branch or service used this type webbing fot there water bottles. thanks mark. i have not seen this type of harness before. or i was just putting the rong words in the search section of this forum.

    It is Australian issue for certain as it has the D/I\D acceptance mark for Australian issue.

    ok i think this type of water bottle carrier is a 1903 pattern used by the lighthorse ww1 but was still in use in ww2 the lighthorse did not just use these. drivers, artillery, etc. may have used this type of bottle too. in the australian forces.
