1942 W.L. DUMAS T Shovel with case REAL or FAKE??

I got this WWII shovel at a yard sale last weekend for $5. The canvas case looks real to me but I am not sure about the shovel inside. . Can someone help me figure out if either the shovel or the case is real or not? I appreciate the help.

the case says "W.L. DUMAS MFG. CO. 1942"
I did not see any markings on the shovel handle or the head.

I am sure its not an M1910 if that is what you are after. They normally have a metal strap around the handle and I think they are all closed back as well which gives them added strength at the business end. It also looks slightly long/head too small but that could be the camera angle.

The cover looks right though as you suspect.
