I have been looking for one of these for ages ! Very hard to even find any pictures of it , I am not sure how many were ever made or issued as it is not the best piece of equipment.

Can anybody tell me what sleeping bag was designed to go in it as I don't think the British had an Arctic sleeping bag. It has 4 ties to keep the bag in place, 2 at the top shown and 2 towards the lower end.

The material is a very lightweight cotton which is water proofed on the underside and the top is not proofed ,i guess to be breathable. 3 cotton ties to hold it closed at the top. It is tapered slightly towards the feet.

Manufactered by CCL (Charles Collett Ltd ) better know for MK2 Helmet Liners.

The tan material is very thin cotton and seems to sandwich a water proof membrane. It is attached and everything just rolls into it and the circular ends are pushed in and the cords are tightened. Not very rainproof but would keep out the driving snow.
