We have met the enemy and have learned nothing more about him. I have, however, learned some things about myself. There are things men can do to one another that are sobering to the soul. If it is american then there should be a manufacturer and a date.... And the long number would be an Federal Stock No. So 1953-74

But if that number is a NATO Stock No. Then 28 is for Luxembourg......!?!

I will keep looking. The temperature stamp and directional stamp are the exact same for the bazooka but the numbers don't match up to other examples ive seen. Luxembourg blows my mind though.

Quick trawl of wikipedia.... Lux did use bazookas post ww2 (seem to have continued with US A-T gear, presently using TOW).
So perhaps its a US made box supplied to Lux, hence the different serial no even though all the rest of the marks are OK?

I admit this is a goose chase, just don't know if it is a wild one :-)

Its possible because it doesn't match the average American crate.
