Wow, I wish I had got into those, but prices are silly now. You did well.
Have you held the lamp terminals to a car battery to see if it still works?

Haven't thought to I have a battery for my DDR(Polish) IR goggles I'll have to give it a shotby Ubique

Whateverits just an opinion.
Actually going back long while and Geeze it was a long while, I did spark up the lamp set up with a 9v battery (big type) Also had fun wiring up the field telephones with speaker wire and had comms working with two US sets (haven't shown these) was good fun
Good read that's for sure!
Just to add, great collection of signals kit Rene, my dad and uncles were all Royal Signals.
