Hi, this is an M4 Bayonet for the M1 Carbine, so it will not be earlier than WW2. To me it looks like its a nice condition wartime piece..... however, these were also made commercially. But I would say yours is a good one.

This one is definitely not commercial as for value they are not worth very much since there are still so many out there. I would say maybe 55 dollars
I think that it depends on your area, as I've seen them ask $50.00 to $75.00 for real "beaters" (that don't seem to be getting sold). But with the nicer ones it's more, so originality and condition are in play. With the scabbard here original but with some rust, and the bayonet itself (from what can be seen) in better condition. FP
