Bayonet Frog ?

Picked this up at the boot sale today, the only marking I can see is the letter H under the loop on the back.

I don't think it's for a bayo-pick helve or entrenching tool handle carrier perhaps?

PS-Or mine probe handle?

I don't think its for an entrenching tool handle because the hole at the base of the frog would be to small, my index finger just fits in the hole.

Or mine probe handle -nothing to keep a bayo scabbard in place after the bayo itself is taken out.

Not sure I have never seen a mine probe handle, I will have wait and see if anyone can ID the frog.

Think you could be right Ade, I found one on the net and the only difference was a flap with press stud.

Quick update.
This is a FROG, CUTTER, WIRE, MARK VI coded A1/AA 5608, but re-coded CN 0978 in 1951 & re-named NO. 6 in place of Mark VI.
